March 2013 CEU Offerings

We are currently offering three CEU classes for students during the month of March! Please call us at 281-488-3903 or stop by our office to reserve your spot!

**As of 03/07/2013 The Reflexology CEU will only be held on MARCH 23rd and the Warm Stone CEU class will now be APRIL 6th**
Reflexology
Class held: Saturday, March 23rd, 2013 from 10 AM to 1 PM.
CEU Credits: 3 Hours
Cost: $75 with a $15 deposit to reserve your spot.
Supplies: One set of twin sized sheets and a hand towel.
Location: Texas School of Massage, 17043 El Camino Real, Ste. 201, Houston, TX 77058
Instructor: Eloise Muske, LMT and MTI. Ms. Eloise has been practicing massage since 1986. She has been teaching the art of full body Swedish Massage since 1990 and Foot Massage Techniques since 1989.


Warm Stone CEU
Class will be held on SATURDAY, April 6th, 2013
9 am to 5 pm
8 CEU credit hours*
Cost: $150 with a $50 non-refundable deposit.**
Instructor: Ms. Shirley Hayslip, LMT and MTI. The class will be held here at the Texas School of Massage, 17043 El Camino Real, Ste. 201, Houston, TX 77058

*8 CEU credit hours only valid for Licensed Massage Therapists. Students who are not licensed may take the class for resume purposes only.

** Limited space available so please see the front desk to reserve your spot. The $50 non-refundable deposit may be transferred to another person for the original date scheduled but may not carry over to another future scheduled class and/or day.

You will learn how to:

  • Use a holistic approach to protect yourself from injury
  •  Identify the physical demands of massage that can cause injury
  •  Find alternative techniques to protect vulnerable parts of your body
  • Improve your body mechanics to reduce stress and increase your comfort
  •  Stay in shape with exercises and stretches designed for massage therapists
  •  Recognize early symptoms before they to injury

What to expect: This class is geared towards injury prevention for the massage therapist. Class is six hours with a one hour break for lunch. It is approved for continuing education in Texas and also approved by NCBTMB. Class is lecture and hands on. Students should be prepared to give and receive massage. Students are required to bring sheets and hand towels.

Price: Students -- $89; LMT -- $109 (price includes textbook, valued at $40)
A $25 dollar non-refundable deposit is required to secure your spot. The complete balance must be paid by Friday, March 22.
In addition, class is limited to 12 participants and is on a first come, first serve basis. Once the class is full, you may leave your contact information and be put on a waitlist for future offerings.
